Jun 10, 2021 · Successful XB7 Gateway Use. I would like to hear from users successfully using Xfinity's XB7 CGM4331COM (Technicolor) modem Gateway. Xfinity 1GB internet service, which now supports up to 1.2GB, through XB6 (Technicolor), provisioning my LAN & WiFi and reliably getting 900+ Mbps downloads (at the XB6) on my ethernet LAN; reliably using 2.4 & 5 ... This doesn't have to affect the channel that was selected in the GUI. My APs (Uqibuiti) operate in this way when DFS channels are selected. Of course, the XB7 may have different logic in automatic channel selection, but this is very much an XB7 specific hardware/software question, not an AC/AX question.There isn't one. After 2 1/2 hours banging on this with Xfinity yesterday to finally be told it is what it is for now. Xfinity has hijacked the manual configuration options for both 2.4 and 5ghz channels and there is no indication xfinity is going to let end users change any settings for channels or bandwidth options for either radio.

I noticed the channel wifi channel is on a channel that wasnt used on the xb6. The channel right now is 42 and on the xb6 it was a much higher channel which made for much faster speeds. I can't change the channel since xfinity ... When I do get the router to "issue" an IP address to the printer. It "connects" as 160.254.192.59 which is a self assigning IP meaning the DHCP from the XB7 failed to assign an IP to the printer. I tried changing the DHCP Lease range to 192.168.0.2-192.168.0.253.
