May 25, 2016 · You need use the shipping box to get achievements related to selling stuff. For example, ship 15 of every crop. I would use Pierres if you need the cash that day. Since the shipping box only gives you the cash after you sleep. But if you need those crops for an achievement, use the box. Pierre is someone the player will be seeing pretty often in Stardew Valley. For one, he owns the town’s General Store, so those taking the farming route will be going to him (or JojaMart) for seeds.

I filled the box with 25 gold veggies I already had and then tried to grow 25 gold to meet both sides of the quest. I didn't grow all 25 and failed the quest, but I couldn't get the 25 I already turned in back. If you sell to Pierre but don't buy from Pierre the difference is taking money out of his pockets. No real difference. Box does count for achievements and such, selling to Pierre doesn't, but it's easy enough to not matter. Pierre will give you money right away, so good to sell excess to buy seeds if needed. On the other hand, you can give him 25 gold quality pumpkins. Pierre would be an asshole for paying the player 2,500g, but at least he would seem less of an asshole to resell them at 25,000g. Pierre's offer for you to take the veggies back at 2,501g would also seem like a good deal.IIRC the only product Joja sells for a better price is sunflower seeds. If I remember correctly, the seeds actually cost more (sans sunflower seeds) until you buy the member ship, which makes it the same. So, Pierre's is actually better IMO. And they're evil.
