It is a 5-digit number with the capital letter L under the last number XXXXX. and then the capital letter F followed by a 2-digit number FXX under that at a slight upward angle.

Hard to tell the exact serial number, depending on how you hold the gun. If I hold the gun and look at the serial number on the bottom of the handle - and the barrel is pointing to my left the serial number is 60699. Your pistol dates to 1974-1975 and probably right in the middle of that date range. Serial numbers from A235001 thru A265000 were produced in that dare range. Around here, a model 59 sells for around $400-450 if it's in really nice condition. I'll assume yours is in excellent condition by your comments.
