Ryzen 7 5700g idle temperature
Nov 6, 2022 · 5800X was thermally the worst Zen 3 CPU. 5800X3D has even worse thermals. Expect straight to 90C for most all-core workloads. There is no comparing to other Ryzen 5000 CPUs (Ryzen 7000 maybe). Water isn't guaranteed to help, especially without a newer block made with these CPUs in mind (Optimus, TechN, Velocity2). Here's my specs running on the F13 BIOS: Ryzen 5 5600G. Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX. Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600. Intel 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive. Aug 25, 2021 · As mentioned, unfortunately no thermal measurements for this article with the k10temp driver not supporting the CPU temperature monitoring until the Linux 5.15 cycle. That is the only rather small but silly issue found so far with the Ryzen 7 5700G is the lack of timely support for the temperature reporting for Ryzen 5000 series APUs. I just upgraded to a Ryzen 7 3700X and has the same Maximum Operating Temperature as your 5700G at 95C. I am using a Hyper212 EVO CPU Cooler with Push-Pull Fans on it. One is a very high RPM fan (5000 RPM) and the other is a 2000 RPM fan and my processor temperatures are between 45C and 60C for normal computer use like browsing and watching ...Room temperature was 22 degrees celsius.All 3 case fans were running.There were two dry runs before this one. MAX temps of those runs can be seen @ the start...
NH-D15 with Ryzen 7 5800x Temperature Concerns. So I have a Ryzen 7 5800x (at stock) and I'm cooling it with an NH-D15 but the temperatures are kind of ridiculous. The idle temperature is 25C, which is good, and the maximum load temperature (tested with prime 95 and aida64) are 82C which is kind of high for a CPU which hasn't been overclocked ... I have a Ryzen 7 5700g with a rtx 3060. My CPU hits around 75 degrees max settings in far cry 5 with fps locked at 60. ... Driver 23.8.1 fixed my idle power draw BUT ...5700g has 8 cores on a single ccx similar to a 5700x. 8 core amd cpus have high temperature spikes - even at idle. low utilization = high boost clock on limited cores 5700g is also a 65w stock tdp, so that's probably why turning off pbo didnt help (it doesnt boost very high to begin with)

Where a Ryzen will power idle is depending mostly on power plan. BIOS and chipset drivers may also involved. Usually all systems I’ve seen are around 25~35W for CPU PPT. Make sure you tighten it properly. Idle temps should be ~35C - 40C and load, depending on what stress software you are using 60C -75C. I use OCCT's CPU test Large and Small data set. Assuming you are using the AMD cooler/heatsink that came with your MB/CPU.
