You can't get a natural 48 slot freighter, but you can get a max 34 and then use freighter bulkheads from derelict freighters to expand all the way to the same max as suit and starship, but it has to be S-Class for that.not sure if its just me and my game but did the new mission and got the cargo bulkhead reward item, placed it in my freighter inventory and went to use it in the terminal to upgrade inventory slots... long story short it didnt consume on use i now have a S class 48/21 freighter...
